PDI Lifetime Arts Public Library Initiative (REGISTRATION IS CLOSED)

This full day training workshop will equip public librarians, system administrators and other community stakeholders to advance creative aging in their communities, expand connections to other aging and arts professionals, and contribute to the development of libraries as key institutions for positive and creative aging.  Participants will learn how the country's changing demographics are demanding new approaches to programming for older adults in public libraries. They will gain a national perspective on current trends in public libraries services for older adults and will be introduced to Lifetime Arts capacity-building model.

A guided review of the Creative Aging Toolkit for Public Libraries, on-line resources developed by Lifetime Arts will help participants determine readiness and capacity as well as a pathway for implementing creative aging programs.
